ABOUT CAPE COD BIKE GUIDE

Cape Cod Bike Guide (CCBG) was originally built in 2000 by John C. Winchell. For over 25 years, John lived and bicycled regularly year round on Cape Cod. Utilizing his in-depth local knowledge, web development skills and bike mechanic background, he created CCBG as a labor of love.

In 2002, CCBG was sold to a former employer of John’s, Webfodder Inc. At the time, fluctuating life logistics dictated this decision, but John still actively maintained the site’s content on a freelance basis for the next two decades. In 2024, he was unexpectedly given an opportunity to reacquire it. John immediately jumped at the chance, & now CCBG is back once again under his original ownership.

For over two decades, CCBG has been the premier online portal for Cape Cod cycling paths, trails and related information. We’re proud our content, and hope that it helps you discover the wealth of recreational biking resources this area has to offer!
